Lincoln,

As you may or may not know, I also help with the Walsh College Open Source community. We meet the second Saturday of each month.

Our next session is this Saturday and I expect about 50 people.  We have a GREAT facility at Walsh College and there may be a chance for our two groups to work together.

If you have the time, why don't you come this Saturday to check it out.  I know you wanted to stay around Royal Oak or Downtown...but at the very least, this may give you some ideas.

I'd also like you to have you come in as a guest speaker.  I'd like you to talk about the website(s) that you work on, how you got started, etc.  I had Trevor Fitzgerald from the PHP group come in last month and it was a great success.

There's also been a HUGE demand for someone to come in and teach web development skills.

Subject: [The-Detroit-Area-PHP-Developers-Network] PHPDetroit looking for a meetup space

We need a better space to meet to grow beyond casual discussion.
Looking for a place with a black/whiteboard and 20+ capacity. An available projector is a bonus, not required. I'd like to keep it in the general area of Royal Oak or downtown Detroit if possible.

Cheers
-Lincoln
