    Learning PHP

Posted by: Marco Cabrera Marco Cabrera on Nov 18, 2009

We could host a meet up geared towards instructing newer developers on the basics of certain topics in a meeting. Some topics easier and some more challenging. So, maybe this month we could hit, "Ternary Syntax for IF statements", "Manipulating Arrays" and/or "Understanding OOP Abstraction". Willing to help, let me know.

    November Meetup Idea

Posted by: Michael Michael on Nov 19, 2009

Hello, I am new to the group and noticed there have been 2 in Madison Heights and 1 in Plymouth all 3 with 6 people. I agree with the one idea that along I-75 is good. Also as there has been a big lapse since the last meeting covering some basic PHP would be good, but also cover some ideas on your websites overall web presence. I am just eager to gain as much knowledge as I can as I am somewhat new to PHP and web development in general. I would suggest Madison Heights again or Ferndale. Are Monday's good the 23rd or 30th? I noticed the time on the other meeting was 11:00AM, is that good for everyone, I am ok with it as I work the hours I want?

What happened to August? Can we keep it somewhere on the 75 corridor? Taking it 2/3 of the way to Ann Arbor was a bit of a buzzkill. I know a couple great spots around Ferndale; it's a tweetup hub for good reason.
