It has been a while, but here we go! PHPDetroit is meeting December 12th at 11AM at AJ's Music Cafe in Ferndale Michigan.
The tentative agenda:
- Greetings and Introductions
- What the group is about, and what we are hoping to achieve.
- What do people do with PHP?
- Beginner Tips: If/Else if/Else vs. switch
- Moderate Tips: Reciprocal functions
- Advanced Tips: MySQL Speed tricks (Indexes, keys, normalization, triggers SProcs)
- Questions about any of the above, or any thing really.
- Individual goals.

Marco CabreraEvent HostAssistant OrganizerI admit, I was somewhat biased (considering I ran the meetup) but I think it went very well. We had several people contribute, and we worked our way through the agenda touching on many topics for varying levels of PHP programmers. It was great to see some new faces, and also great to see some returning faces. I have some things to post as promised, but want to remind members to post things they are interested in discussing. We have a large group of people who all have some skill in PHP and someone will be able to assist you. Thanks for attending. -
MichaelIt was a good meeting with valuable tips and topics, there was a good flow of idea's and I think everyone felt part of it.
